Demolition follow-up plan for infrastructure works
A new development is being planned in a street in Ghent. For this purpose, the entire street, including the sewerage system, will be demolished and rebuilt. Our experts drew up a demolition follow-up plan for this project.
Since the demolition volume is higher than 250m³, a SOP is needed to accompany the environmental permit application. Moreover, we always draw up our demolition follow-up plans in accordance with Tracimat's guidelines, guaranteeing the follow-up and traceability of the waste materials. This was also a requirement for this project.
Thorough fieldwork results in a detailed report
What did Profex?
Pre-study
Set-up of an inventory of all waste materials that will be released during decomposition.
Recommendation and advice demolition follow-up: possibilities of their reuse or processing.
Drill description: for each drill we give a detailed description of what we found (e.g. x cm asphalt, x cm concrete, x cm crushed stone,...).
Testing results: in the case of asphalt, a core drill is always carried out and this core goes to the lab for analysis of whether the asphalt is tarred or not. If the underlayer is suspected of containing asbestos, we also take samples of it and send them to the lab.
Carrying out drilling (fieldwork), we always go on site ourselves and carry out the necessary drilling and take samples where necessary.
