Demolition folluw-up plan for office building

By order of Intervest Offices & Warehouses nv, Profex, as a certified Tracimat expert, drew up a demolition follow-up plan with a destructive asbestos inventory for the demolition of an office building in Diegem. 

Intervest Offices & Warehouses is a regulated real estate company specialized in investing high quality office buildings and logistics real estate. For the Greenhouse BXL project, the company wanted to demolish an existing office building and fill in the vacant space with a parking building with green roof and leisure facilities for the tenants of Greenhouse.

As the total volume of the demolition was more than 1,000 m³ for a non-residential building, a demolition follow-up plan had to be drawn up. 

The building that needed to be demolished comprised five floors above ground, with a total building volume of +- 22,000 m³. The consultants of Profex always work flexibly tailored to the requirements of the client. As a result, even larger projects can always be carried out at short notice, so that the demolition follow-up plan can be delivered at short notice. 

In view of the high tonnages of stony waste, the choice was made to follow the Traceability procedure for construction and demolition waste (Tracimat procedure). In this way, the rubble could be removed by the contractor as low environmental risk rubble and processed at a reduced rate by the crushing plant.
